Well, they didn't come in a clear plastic bag. There HAD to have been some type of packaging that disclosed toxicity and/or possibly poison control information.

I have no idea what "standard" glue sticks are or contain, but if they are in fact toxic in any way, federal law mandates that the manufacturer disclose that information to the consumer.

yes but even if it did say it was toxic, how would i know if they are toxic to snakes as well and when i got them they were in a plastic bag. Just wondering, when people build their terrariums out of wood, what type of wood glue is used?

If it's toxic to people, it's going to be toxic to snakes as well.

Someone advised me to use a glue gun to secure temp probes etc and I did. Hot glue will be very dangeroud to your snake! and as it is drying it may give off fumes but dried it is inert - I'm sure eating a large chunk of it would do them no good but I really don't think it is an issue - a similar situation to the silicon sealant most tanks/cages are made with.

Hot glue is just fine....just make sure the package reads non-toxic and you let it cool down before coming into contact with your snake...if little kids can eat it...it will not hurt your ball pythons. Also, I would never recommend using a hot glue gun to attach temp probes...the high temp level on the probe can cause it to cause an error in your temp readings....i always use double sided tape for that kinda stuff (just make sure no sticky parts are exposed in the enclosure).
