Anyone see this before?

Got a chance to buy a 3 year old Pastave leopard male, but this is present on the cloaca. Any thoughts on what it is, and is it worth the buy? 1377g btw

I'm no expert here, but if I had to guess I'd say that's a prolapse from the vent. I don't really know though, I guess you'll have to wait for Zincubus or dr del [emoji23]

Pretty fella, did you ask the seller what it is? Either they will tell you the truth or blow smoke up your bum, that will also be a good indication wether or not you want to do business with them or not, hopefully someone with more experience will chime in anytime, best wishes always..

Minor prolapse. Not something I'd want to see in a male I planned to breed.

I asked the seller if it was a prolapse, but he said "I don't know. Sounds right though".

I'm pretty confident that it is just that. I'm going to get him and take care of the prolapse. Not a big deal. Just making sure it wasn't something worse.

If anything, he might be more prone than other snakes to prolapse again, but I hope he does well in your hands since you're not scared-off.

I dunno. It could still be a prolapse, but it looks more like an injury/irritation to the outer edge of the cloaca to me? Not the actual hemipene or intestine. Maybe he had recently passed a rather large urate stone or fecal?
I've thankfully never had snake prolapse before, only a couple geckos so I could be wrong~ Though it does look a bit like the irritation a snake I have with a burn had gotten after passing the first feces after the injury. BCR sounds like he has seen this before tho, so they're probably the best bet.

I would still treat it like a prolapse that way the tissue doesn't stay inflamed. Obviously keep an eye on it as mentioned above, if it was a healing prolapse, he may be prone to it again.

Minor prolapse can turn into major prolapse or re-occur and require surgery.

While any animal can suffer from health issues at any given time why getting one that already show signs of issues.
