    Wording is key.
I was checking out my apartments new website since they've changed management companies and updated it, and noticed they made an addition to the pet policy: exotic pets are welcome! Well, I already new that, but it's finally on the site, at least. Let's take a look at the restrictions (the dog section had the same info as the cat section) ...

... Ah. So hots are allowed, but I guess newts aren't? I was going to say dart frogs, but they lose the poison after being captivity for a period of time.

There's a whole separate argument to be had for the dog restrictions, but that's for another day.

That's cool. In my last apartment the new management company disallowed exotic pets that the previous company did allow. They never gave me a problem but I tried not to call the scary maintenance staff too much either. :)

I try to call maintainance as little as possible anyway. I very much dislike people being in my apartment....

Hey, there's no weight limit on cats...hmm? I guess that hasn't been "tested" yet either?

I can imagine the calls now... "Uh, excuse me? I think my neighbor owns bears..."

Edit: I just realized your point... This technically means I can own a lion. Excellent.
