Meet Syd (Cinnamon x Spider)

I went to Repticon ATL this weekend purely with the intention of picking up feeders for my Beardie and Cal King and nothing else....

Of course, I had to browse, just to see what they had and to let my boyfriend who is a herp n00b get the full experience. Ended up at Soarin’ Snakes table, where this girl was being handed off to all the little kids because of her disposition. I held her and fell in love with her personality. Left her once, came back and couldn’t leave her again. So now she’s mine.

Meet Syd(ney). She’s a 4 month old Cinnamon Spider Het Albino supposedly from a Volta line (her mom was apparently 4,000g). Hobbies include periscoping and attempting to nose-dive off any surface with a ledge.

Little update on Syd for you guys! She just took her first meal for me, a f/t rat pup. Super proud mom over here, as I’m always worried about getting new additions settled in and feeding and all that.

Fun watching her actually constrict and go through the motions with the prey. Haven’t seen that in a while. My kingsnake has gotten lazy and just swallows f/t up without expending any unnecessary effort lol.

Definitely nice, congratulations, glad you’re enjoying your experience.

Caught Syd out and about last night. Just wanted to share. She took her 2nd rat for us and gave us a nice poop this week. Feeding day is Sunday so I’m hopeful she’ll keep up the progress.
