Starter Tub Set up

Just wanted feedback on this setup for a 3-4 month old Ball Python
sterlite Latching tub with 12 holes near top
heat pad with century digital thermostat
warm and cool side hides
shalow water dish
paper towel substrate

I find the wood hides mold quickly in a high humidity environment, plus when your snake poops or pees on them they are almost impossible to clean and disinfect because wood is porous. Also that style is too open for a ball python; they like snug hides with one small hole. Mine actually use the square plastic Ramen noodle containers, it's easy enough to cut off one corner to create an access hole using a pair of heavy scissors.

You also may find the water bowl is lightweight enough to get dumped regularly, especially with that lip on the top. I like the melamine cat/dog bowls from the Dollar stores as they are cheap (a buck!) and don't tip because they have a very wide base.
