    injured snake
    Hey there,
So after a month that my ball python exploring his new plastic cage he tried to escape last night.
The top of the plastic tub closed with iron net and some zip ties, the net smaller from his had by 3 or 4 times... I really don't know how he manage to "escape" half body out till stomach and got stuck.

Is it looking bad? I don't think so, maybe should I treat him somehow so it won't get infection? how to treat if so?

It's really minor I would not do anything other than clean the area (betadine or chloexedrine), but most importantly keep the animal on clean dry paper towel until it clears up after the next shed.

It looks a bit swollen for sure. As was mentioned above, keep the baby on paper towels. Should heal up the wound area just fine.
However, If the swelling increases for any reason or it seems your snake is having difficulty moving the back end, I would head to a vet.

You're lucky (& your snake is even luckier)- you really have to make sure snakes can't get partway out, they can be killed this way.
Hope he makes a good recovery.
