Is there such a thing as too much Reptisafe?
I put about 6 oz of water in my BP's bowl, and I think I accidentally added 3 drops. The dosage says 2 drops for 8 oz. Is it possible to use "too much" reptisafe? I know, for instance, that with other dechlorinators for fish (ex: Prime) it's safe to quadruple the dosage. I just need to know whether or not to take the water out and start again from scratch. Thanks in advance!

Honestly, I don't think there's any need for it at all. My snakes drink the same water I do, no worries at all.

I've not used this product, are there any cautions/warnings on the bottle? If they have a customer service # or website, I think you'd do better to ask them.

I actually have a bottle of "Instant Ocean" marine conditioner, but I only use it to de-chlorinate my swimwear, lol...

Also, I always follow the "when in doubt, throw it out" rule of thumb.

I would adjust the amount of water (add to match the 3 drops dosed).

Thanks everyone, I'm just going to throw it out and add regular water. I actually have purified water next to the kitchen tap (I'm actually pretty sure it's RO water) so I'll just not add anything. Thanks!

When I had my fish, I often heard that if you leave tap water sitting out overnight the chlorine will evaporate; supposedly it gets rid of the chlorine but does nothing for chloramine (nitrogen and chlorine combined). If you are truly worried you could put some water in a big jug or bucket, leave it out and uncovered for a day or two and use that for snake. I've just been using regular tap water.
