    Columbian Rainbow Boa Questions
    Hello All~

I have been interested in leucistic columbian rainbow boas for some time, but I never see them at reptile shows near me (rarely even a rainbow boa of any sort in sight). I am not a breeder; I just enjoy having noodle friends. I am hoping that someone would be able to answer some questions for me:

    1. Are CRB really more hearty than BRB?
    2. Is there one particular caresheet you would recommend? I typically research multiple sources before purchasing any animal, and experienced keepers with good references would be very helpful.
    3. What is the best type of light to see a RB's sheen?
    4. Do leucistic CRB still have their rainbowy sheen?

    Thank you.

The reason you can't find one is that there are no rainbow boas that come from North America. You won't find a rainbow boa from the District of Columbia. There are only 2 boas from North America, the Rubber boa and the Rosy boa.
Try finding a Colombian rainbow boa, they are from the Amazon region of South America. :gj:

Wow Ricky, pretty intense way to correct a typo[emoji23]

Colombian rainbow boas are more forgiving of husbandry errors (too hot, low humidity) than their Brazilian cousins, however it is still very important to keep humidity very high especially as babies.

Colombians also tend to stay a bit smaller than Brazilians.

From my experience, I see the most glow from my BRB outdoors, followed by directly underneath an incandescent light.

From what I've heard (as I've never actually seen one), the leucistic CRBs seem to lose a lot of their rainbow glow, though hopefully someone who has seen one can chime in
