    In hiding while shedding??
My male BP normally ventures out at night, even during his last shedding process. I recently started getting him on his new feeding schedule (one small f/t rat vs 3 live hoppers.) I fed him last on the 4th of July. I planned on trying to feed him weekly as Iv been told he was underfed. Note: we’ve had him only 2-3 months. Last week, around Thursday-Friday, I noticed his eyes starting to turn cloudy which I know is the beginning of his shed. Since feeding him, he is always in his hide. Like ALWAYS. Iv seen him come out maybe 3-4 times since feeding him last.

Do they do this while theyr shedding or is this a bad reaction to the new food? It took him 5 days to digest the last 3 hoppers I fed him but he still has not digested the rat. Just a bit worried...

It is normal for them to hole up while shedding. He is saving the poop for you when he is done. Keep the humidity up.

"a hiding ball is a happy ball" as the saying goes. sounds like typical beep behavior.

3 hoppers vs 1 small mouse is a pretty big leap in food size; how much does the snake weigh? he might also be in a food coma with a nice full tummy.

Snakes that want to stay alive (& follow their instincts) hide until they need to hunt for food. In shed, they hide. When full, they hide. When not hungry,
they hide. When afraid, they hide. (are you beginning to see a pattern here? lol...)
