    First ball python
My son wanted a ball python for his 12th birthday, so we went to repticon last Sunday and picked her up. He named her Izzie. We got home and put her in her enclosure and left her alone to get used to it. We wanted to make sure she would eat for us before we started handling her. The breeder said she was eating live. We wanted to switch to f/t, so picked that up on Friday. I really didn't think it would be easy from what I have read. We thawed it out in her room and used a blow dryer on it for a few seconds. Within minutes she struck it, and started eating :) Hopefully, I posted the picture right :/https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b163887c06.jpg

Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of snake keeping!!

That's a beautiful girl you have there. And that's awesome that she took F/T on the first try.
Hoping to see your pictures, and it's cool that you and your son are sharing this experience.

    Welcome

Congrats on the early success feeding - it will give you so much confidence moving forward .

Plus another HURRAH for the hairdryer trick !!

I got chatting to a friend of my sons the other day and he'd been having feeding problems with a hatchling Royal ( his first Royal and an expensive Pastel Pied morph ) ..

I told him what I did for mine with the hairdryer and he rang me two hours later - absolutely deliriously happy - as the little guy had eaten for the very first time !!
