Rescue in need of help!!!
Hello, First time poster here
I have a rescued female bp that i picked up today along with a male.
Well the problem is when i went to pick them up the guy i was getting them feed them. The female is the one with the problem he gave her 3 super large
mice now she is HUGE! Sick looking HUGE!
Shes no more than 4 to 5 month old about 22 to 24 inch long. I quess my question is does anyone think see will make it?
I have her in a boaphile right now but she just looks bad. Shes drinking water
no problem. She just looks like she has no life left in her.
Any ideas or feedback would help.
Thank You!!!
Re: Rescue in need of help!!!
She sounds like she is stuff to the max. How was this guy feeding? what size were the mice in comparison to her girth? Did she 'kill' each mouse and eat it? if they were frozen/thawed mice, were they completely thawed? were they strung together w/ string? As much info as possible would be helpful.
Make sure your temperatures in the enclosure are correct....92-94 warm side/ 82-84 cool side. I would prefer the temps to be in the higher regions of those ranges, since the lady has just had such a big meal (it will help her digest faster). Also, snakes should not be handled for 48 hours after they eat so avoid handling.

Thanks daniel he said p/k mice she took them one at a time. I had to take her then or he was going to kill her and i could not let that happen so yes she was moved right after eating.
I have her temps 92-95 on warm side about 84 on the cool side.

temps sound great...keep us updated on how she is doing...my guess is she is just sluggish after such a big meal. Glad she is in better hands :)
