    Exo Terra
    Hi Everyone!

I bought Olive ( BP ) an exo terra terrarium. I have some questions for all of you guys that use or have used an exo terra terrarium.

I have everything set up and was wondering if you guys modified anything when putting your ball python in? Have any ball python trouble with it?
So far everything looks great to me, and am just wanting to make sure! :)

    Thanks!!:D

I am new to BP but have several exoterra setups. I would cover at least 3/4 of the screen on top. Otherwise, I think you are going to have a difficult time maintaining humidity.

No problem! You said you have it all set up? How are your temps and humidity looking?

It's great! just did a morning check on her. There where tons of her tracks all over, which means she was exploring. :)

The temperature is 91 degrees ( that's what I set my Herpstat at)

Humidity is at 72 because I put new eco earth in and it usually is higher for a day or two.

    Should I take a picture?:snake:

I always love to see other's setups! I my experience with other species, as the eco earth dries out, that humidity might drop. I would just keep and eye on it and mist or cover as necessary. Great job getting it dialed in!

    Thank you!

I have two hides, one on the hot spot and the other on the cool side.
Her water bowl is in the middle.
I have one live pothos ivy in the cool end that was in her previous terrarium.
Then I have some fake plant too for coverage for her.
And then a tiny fake plant and some rocks.
I ordered some vines on Amazon, so we'll see how she likes them, never tried them before!

What temp is 91? Hot spot? Ambient?
91 is trending towards too hot, especially if it's more than just a hot spot.

I took it to mean hot spot, but you are right if that's an air temp. I am still learning BP, but wanted to help here because I have 3 Exotrerra's set up for other species. With my high humidity species (crested gecko) I have to cover part of the top, even in our humid summers. My desert dwellers do just fine uncovered.

Yeah, I've got one as well. I don't love it, but with a little tweaking it works just fine. :gj:
