No AC and 7 snakes to worry about!!!!
Need some advice! As some of you may know I’m located in central Florida, so we woke up this morning and found out hey there’s no power in the Reptile room....wth, the circuit breaker went off last night....flipped it back on and behold WE HAVE NO AC....it’s going to get hot REALLY fast.....it’s already 80-82 ambient in the reptile room. It’s going to be 92 today....our house is going to get hotter...oh also there’s a water main burst...so no water....WTF! At what point should I worry? I also have a crestie and Pac-Man that I really need to worry about. Especially the crestie.

If temps don’t raise above 98 degrees, I think you should be fine. Just be careful you’re room doesn’t exceed that. Keep the doors and windows open. And monitor your animals closely if you can.

I think I read in a post somewhere, placing frozen water bottles in the bottom of the cages helps during times like this. A trip to the store to pick up a case and then put them on rotation in the freezer and in the cages. An Icebox use to be just that. That is what old people called the first primitive refrigerators.

By the time the waters frozen I might as well just toss everyone in pillow cases and critter keepers and get them in the car....least I can keep the car around 76-80. We’re waiting till it gets over 90. But for the crestie and Pac-Man 85 is the max before I get them in the car.

Even if the water doesn't get fully frozen it will still be cold enough to help. Also do you not have regular cold packs in the freezer?

Frozen peas or veggies of some sort would work as well in a pinch.

Everything good to go right now, I killed the power to all heat sources in the room, I have the dragons (8 ft of caging) halogen bulbs turned off as well to help keep the heat down in the room we’re at 84-85 ambient in the reptile room. 83 in the house....[emoji17]

Is there any way to block the sun from hitting the windows from the outside? Curtains in the windows help, but it's better if you can stop the direct sunlight from even getting into the house.

Sadly no, we don’t have storm shields for the windows. But we have all blinds closed, luckily our windows are treated for sun reflection.
