So, I wasn't sure where this should go so if this is in the wrong place, mods please move.

Anywhoo, my crappy harbor freight scale took a dump on me so i need to replace it. i was curious what kind of scales do you all use? any recommended ones out there big enough for weighing our noodles?

Also, i got to thinking about hemostats for feeding. any recommendations there?

    TIA

Hi, I got my scale at Walmart. I think around $20. It's for weighing food for dieting. Works very well. I just put the snake in a clear plastic tub/tote for weighing so I can see the screen on the scale.

I've never used hemostats only cause I don't like them locked on the rat. I have feeding tongs that I got at a local reptile store. They're about two feet long, basically big tweezers with plastic over the pointy ends. Work great.

I got my scale off of reptilebasics.com and it works great. It has a larger capacity than the food scale I have. This one goes up to like 6kg and comes with a cover. It was 24.99 so not too expensive.

For smaller snakes, I would recommend the Cuisinart Digipad. For under $20, it calculates tare weight in ounces or grams: https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-Dig.../dp/B00KICLO4Q

My biggest BP is currently 800+ grams and he easily fits on this scale.

I got a scale off amazon. Digital up to 5000g regular kitchen scale.
