    My toilet trained snake
Okay, so I get up this morning and go into the snake room to do the daily check. My big girl was pushing things around her 41qt. Sterilite again which usually means she's had a bathroom run. I think she let go of urates three times in the last week, so I kind of expect it now. But this time her paper was dry and I noticed something floating in her water bowl. Somehow she managed to dump several loads and a urate directly in her 4 inch water bowl. Kind of gross but also pretty convenient to clean up. Now only if I can get my other snakes to be so considerate maybe I can install little toilets in their bins.

Yeah, lots of snakes like to let loose in the water. My cali king delights in it, as do my bloods and I hear anacondas are infamous for it.

The worst is when they leave their sheds in the water bowl .... sheds that have been soaking in water for 8 - 12 hours STINK!! :P

    LOL

I know exactly what you both mean. I think I can count on a single hand the number of times Neph (AfRock) p00ped in her cage. She loves swimming in the tub which is fine by me as it calms her immensely. It also makes her let loose - like clockwork every time she's not in there more than 30 seconds when she lets fly. Man, I remember when the kids were prone to doing that too and the unsuing screams of "turdle turdle!!"

I can understand it if they soak in a bowl that is pretty big, but a 4 inch bowl is kind of tiny and she had to position just right to let loose. Either that, or it was just good timing during her nightly roam.

Yeah.. 9 times out of 10 when I soak a snake, they leave a pile.

aaaah! i still remember having to take baths with my sister when we were really small and the whole time i had to watch nervously because sooner or later a little log would float by and i would have to jump out of the tub. i mean seriously--how clean can you really get if there's a poop in the tub with you?! :O

lol! This thread made me actually laugh.
Anyone have a cat (or heck, even a dog) running around with a "cling-on" trailiing behind? :D
