    Glad GA is pretty lax on this. Basically no venomous or native species without a permit. Otherwise anything goes.

    at least he was fully cooperative with law enforcement and only seems to have gotten a nice slap on the wrist and wallet (he was charged with 6 misdemeanor citations) to make sure he learns his lesson.

    i hope the snakes will be well cared for.

    In FL a permit is not only needed to keep retics as they are defined as conditional species, it's also needed to sell.

    Unfortunately FWS will likely euthanize the snakes, which is what it typically does when it takes in animals from people who don't have the proper permits for them.
