1st built cage

Here is my first built cage. The bottom is plexiglass with flexwatt for heat. There is also a flourescent light inside. This one is for my pine snake and I'm in the process of building one for my Ball and corn.

What did you use in the ventilation hole back in there?

I got them off my old reptile tank that broke during our move to Texas. But you could find them at Lowes or Home depot with all the drywall stuff.

Nice looking enclosure, great work there.

It's beautiful.. how do you seal the inside so it doesn't leak/soak up stuff?

Also.. how big is it, and do you know how much it cost you to build?

It's 36"w x 24"d x 16"h. I used silicone to seal the plexi to the wood and all together it cost about $80.

Really nice. Me and my boyfriend plan on building a set of cages similar to that.

You have plexiglass on the bottom you said?

Are these hard to keep clean? I'd worry about the wood soaking up stuff and growing bacteria.

Also, what kind of wood did you use?
