    Friendly box store mite reminder...
Got a female Chocolate Enchi the other day from a box store for a great deal (box stores != always bad) and it had no signs of mites. Several days later, found two mites.

Always quarantine and if you’re up for it, a quick natural chemistry mite spray day of pick up, before introducing into your collection.

Must have had eggs that didn’t come off into my hands as I was checking her out, but always quarantine.

    End of PSA.

box stores DO NOT always equal bad! I'm getting so sick of these generalizations and grouping all box stores together!

Walk into my "big box" store! I double dog dare you to find anything wrong. Mites included!

We we are individual stores with individual managers. Some know what they are doing and others don't! Just like any other store or breeder on the planet.

    End rant....

I concur, which is why I added that. I also called them and informed them because they had just sold their last ball to a school teacher for her class and she needed to be notified.

Wow nice price for a little cutie pie, glad you found them early but what a head ache 😥, but for that price it may be worth a little elbow grease😊

In case anyone was interested, she was mis-labeled and after a bit or research and help; she is a Fire YB (friend popped her [I don't like doing that] and I probed her). Very last pic of them on WOBP. I'm going to call her Brownie.

She's gorgeous! At least it sounds like she only had a small infestation that should be pretty easy to resolve.

This is why quarantine, pre-treating for mites, and diligence never goes out of style, no matter where the snake came from.
