Worth it?

Found two AP T8's on craigslist for $100 a piece, the kicker is its an 8 hour drive round trip. it saves 336 bucks before gas is factored in... what do y'all think, worth it? i have one ordered from AP themselves and ive already been waiting 5 weeks with an expected ship date of next week and i was planning on ordering another but i'm not too keen on waiting, though theres no real hurry.

Depends how much you like long drives and also the work of thoroughly disinfecting those used cages. You always have to wonder what the
previous occupant of a used reptile cage died from...you know what I mean? So there's work involved besides the drive time & cost of gas.

I hope you've gotten really good close-up photos of the cages too? It would be terrible to get all the way there & find out there's issues.

Up to you. It's a decent deal. If i were to sell my extra T8 with the shelf, lock and LEDs, i would charge $200. Thing is, like mentioned, how much do you want to clean? Also how good of condition are they in? Do they have holes drilled all over them or dented or cracked or scratched etc. I personally am rather OCD about my pets being kept clean so I wouldn't buy a used cage. If you do buy them, be sure to clean them with a strong bleach/water solution and/or hydrogen peroxide solution as i think those 2 things are the only things that kill Crypto.

i Decided to pass. I only need one more and not anytime soon, so I’ll just wait and order a new one unless I find a better deal locally. Thanks for the input guys

Any chance you're anywhere close to the MA border?

I would NEVER drive that far to pickup something that may or may not be in good shape with a buyer that may or may not show up especially coming from CL.

Yeah, that's a journey. Been to Lake Placid, Buffalo and Niagara Falls for hockey. That part of NY is a loooong drive.
Otherwise I'd be interested for sure.
