    RHP: Plug Question
Just received my new AP10 w/ Pro Products RHP installed and I have a silly question about installing the plug on the end of the RHP cord. I assume it just clamps down on the cord but how do you keep it shut? There were no instructions included

    RHP: Plug Question
Just clip it real hard. You might need a pair of pliers or channel locks to get it to close all the way and it should clip shut. Took me a min to get my first one to fully close

You were absolutely correct. It took a pair of pliers to get it to finally click into place. Appreciate the help. I'll be testing out the probe placement and taking temps this weekend. If anyone has any tips, please let me know.

Just curious, would you be able to post a pic or two of your probes and how you set them up?

yes, I'm planning on only using the RHP as the sole heating source. It's an 88 watt so it's a big one. I'll post pics and details when I finish.

No worries! Probe placement will kinda depend on room temps and cage size. I’d try cool side set at 78-80* and monitor what the hot spot gets to. I’d deck the cage out how to plan to have it set up and then fidget with temps. The thermal mass of whatever is under the panel will affect how the rest of the cage is heated. I do two T8s with probes directly under the panel set to 84-85* and I get perfect 90-80* gradients. My t25 is set cool side to 77* and it makes an 88* hot spot. That cage is currently just ambient temp of 78-80* and belly heat at 90*. For some reason when the room temp is 72-75* the cage will be a few degrees warmer. The heat tape sure isn’t doing that.
