TOO HOT for my BP???
We're in a heat wave rn, and it's been about 85-90 F here lately. Because of prices, we don't own an air conditioner currently, and keeping my BP room at the right temperature has been pretty hard.
My thermometer is reading at about 80-82 today on the cold/humid side, and I've been trying to lower the temperature, but nothing seems to be working. I put a miniature fan on top of the cage, which, if anything only completely dried out the air. I've been keeping my two opposite side windows open with a box fan on one windowsill to try to create a cross wind, but the thermometer is still reading in the low 80s.
Is this something to be very worried about? If not, at what temperature on the cold side should I start trying to cool it down? If so, what can I do to cool it down now?
I have a couple of box fans, one mini fan, a ceiling fan, ice packs (maybe I could put one behind the fan and run it???), but no a.c.

A cool side of 80-82*F is fine. If it gets any hotter I would turn off whatever heat source you are using to ensure the enclosure doesn't overheat.

Also in the summer when it gets hot, you can throw a few bottles of water in the freezer. Then throw them in the cage. Should help keep the temps down a little and when they thaw out, throw them back in the freezer and have a second set of bottles ready to go. That is what i used last year when we had a hot summer.
