Frozen rat question
Hello everyone:
Long/short. Female Ball, age 3 years. Left a frozen, large rat, out overnight then put into the fridge this morning for safe keeping. Came home to feed and balls eyes were glassy and near shed stage. Clearly, bad time to feed, this I know. Will the rat hold in the fridge for a few days?
Normally over the last few years I have checked her before defrosting the rat overnight for just this reason. Consider it bad timing. Thank you for your advice!

Unless your BP is well known for not taking food during a shed, you can always try offering anyways. My boy has happily eaten even in deep blue. Just make sure not to stress your snake when offering, just a quick offer and see if they take it!

Re: Frozen rat question
You can offer it but if not taken then you'll want to feed it to a different snake or pitch it. Some will eat in blue but not always and itll be bad by the time she finally shed in a few days.

As long as it's been properly stored, just throw it back in the freezer. It'll be fine, just don't do it more than once.
