Difference between Alligator and Crocodile!

So I was at the dealership the other day and could not help but over hear some elderly folks taking about Gators and Crocs. One of them asked whats the difference and the kindly looking lady said that one of em has eyes on the front while the other has eyes on the sides :)

Eyes in the front huh. Now I know for sure that that is wrong. The diff is with how round the snout is and if the teeth stick out the side of the mouth when closed. Crocs have teeth sticking out the side with mouth close and have a more rounded snout.

HEHEHE. Thats cute, the elderly are funny ppl. Aligators have longer noses than crocs. ;)

I thought gators had the broader snout while crocs had a more pointy snout with teeth pointing out?

Yep.. crocs have a long pointy snout.. gators have a broader, flatter one. Crocs have teeth that stick up and out near the tip of the snout, while gators teeth point down mainly.

I should know.. I used to see both every day!

Shows ya how much I pay attention to crocs and gators. LOL Maybe it is time I watch the croc hunter or something better.

lol.. well before my zoo tour guide job, I could never keep em straight either.

the difference is all in the temperment and size.....dont you ever watch the Croc Hunter :D
