Here are pics of my rarely shown fat tails. The striped one is the male and the normal is the female.

Okay suddenly saying to my husband who is deep into Xbox "hey hon come look at Jeanne's fat tail" gets a freakin wierd reaction lemme tell ya!

Hey Jeanne, just a quick question. The female's tail is much fatter? Is this just some sort of fat reserve thing? (pls note I know squat about fat tails other than they are darned cute) Almost looks like she's growing another head back there LOL. They are both lovely. The male's stripe is gorgeous!

    Hehehe, Weird reaction huh?

The females tail should actually not look like that, before she came to me, her tail was in the process of regenerating, it has actually come a long way since I have had her. Thier tails are suppose to be like the males, I will get a better pic for ya. To be honest, not sure why they are called fat tails, because from what I can tell, thier tails are no fatter than a well fed adult leo. At least thats the way it is with mine, and I do happen to keep both species. I too love the males stripe, hoping that they will produce some striped eventually.

Hahaha, thanks Daniel! Wow, I am surprised you have never seen a striped fat tail along the way before, even though geckos are not your thing.
