    Thinking garter snake or a species of ratsnake, it doesn't have the typical copperhead markings.

    I was thinking it was a Dekay's Brown but wasn't sure. The head shape worried me though.

    After a good look, I agree with you, probably a reddish colored dekays.

    Yeah, you're right. It looks closer to the snake then a baby Copperhead would. My bad :redface:

    I have a lot of brown snake adults and babies in my backyard during the summer, and usually the babies are more of a red color, just like what you're seeing. Cute snakes for sure. :)
