    Cause for concern or paranoid?
    Hi guys

Some of you may have seen my earlier post with pics of my new little guy. I haven't seen him really come out of his hide at all except stick his head out once in a while.

    Temps seem fine-

85-86 on the hot side (surface temps measured with gun)

    75-76 on the cold side

Ambient / environment temp is 78.8

Humidity 55% - 62% gradient from cold side to hot (I have 1 digital thermometer/hygrometer at each end of the enclosure.

Now have identical hides on both ends.

My main concern was that I haven't seen him drink any water since I bought him home last night. Have no idea if he had any at night obviously but still was just concerned so I thought I would ask what you think? Perfectly normal? Do I need to show him where the water bowl is? (It's right in the middle of the terrarium- and sorry if it's a stupid question)

His last meal was on Wednesday night so 4 days ago.

Again apologies for noob questions... I'm learning.

    Thanks

Normal. Snakes have a very good sense of smell...he'll find the water bowl when he wants it...probably at night when you're not looking & he feels safer.
Snakes don't drink constantly, so don't worry. But next time you handle him you might tip his face to the water bowl & see if he's interested...he'll probably
just think you're a "helicopter parent" LOL! And there's nothing wrong with asking questions...it's only silly if you DON'T ask. Snakes are different from
other pets & there's a lot to be said for experience...you'll 'get there'.

I almost never see my snakes drink. They know how to find water, they'd have been extinct thousands of years ago otherwise.

Your temps could come up a little across the board too.
