Looking for Opinions: BP Housing vs BOA (Dwarf)
    Hey There....

Looking for opinions on this. I currently have a 400gram male BP housed in a 3x1x1 pvc enclosure. I made an impulse decision at the beginning of this year to purchase an AP T-10 because I thought he needed more room and plus I wanted an enclosure w/ an RHP to help w/ ambient temps during the winter.

My question is that I'm considering a male dwarf boa (leaning towards a Hog Island but still researching) and not sure if I should put him in the AP T-10 or the existing 3x1x1 pvc enclosure (and upgrade later) . For those in the know, would a boa have the same husbandry needs (in terms of heating and humidity) as my BP; specifically Ambient temps?

For the record, I heat my 3x1x1 pvc enclosure using two UTHs on each side (hot side low 90s and cool side low 80s w/ humidity around 75% and Ambient temps in the high 70s).

    Thanks!!!!

Your boa should be fine in the 3x1x1 but I would set the hot side at 88-90*F and not worry about the low side UTH if the ambient is in the upper 70's.

Appreciate the response! The ambient is only in the upper 70s because I've been running the downstairs basement wall unit non stop. Does a Boa need the high ambients (upper 70s) like a BP does? Once I get the AP T-10 the RHP will take care of my ambients and I'm hoping I can cut down on using the wall unit.

Yes the cool side should be in the upper 70's.
