    News article U.K.

This isn’t a good advert for U.K. herpers abandoning boas in public places,
I just wondered about the picture used in the advert as the article address the U.K. adders being in danger but the snake doesn’t look like any U.K. snake I can think of as we only have adders, grass snakes and smooth snakes, you would think they would at least post a native snake picture if they wanted to increase awareness

bad keepers!!! you've already ruined the Everglades, stop spreading your idiocy to other areas!

also, how exactly is a boa going to threaten the native adders?? they don't eat snakes...disease? competition?? :confusd:

here's a BBC article with some more info and pics: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-s...shire-44046222

Yes bad pet owners do give genuine reptile keepers a bad name and we all get tard with the same brush.

that’s very true boas don’t even eat other snakes as you said Taylor And there’s no way any of them species would survive our winters anyway
That place is only 25 miles from me , it’s such a loverly area for walking and idiot keepers go and dump an innocent captive bred reptile , I know I would of love to have found that dumeril that’s for sure

People must be getting lazier and lazier cause I consider boa's fairly easy to take of or they have no money I guess. BUT for me out of this whole article I take offense to how they consider boa's a "novelty pet".

To me it looks like they mean 'novelty' in relation to people who release them because the novelty has worn off. Which is true of those kinds of people.

the follow-up article should read something like "Bored News Media Dump Inaccurate Stock Photo into Article about Dumped Snakes"

anyways this lil article notes how peeps use snakes and reptiles for their social media content (i.e. selfies) only to get quickly bored and release their animals into the wild. yep, u suck if your image comes before the animals well being and wildlife. post that.

That sucks, and with the way the UK is, if it doesn't stop they'll ban keeping.
