    Getting too thin?
    Hey everyone!

So it’s been about 1 month since Pua has eaten, and he’s definitely been losing weight.
He’s lost about 15 grams since I last weighed him, from 1003 grams to 986. Should I be concerned? Is this too much weight too fast?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...96a6f6f9dc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6a32e6bd86.jpg
He’s about 1 1/2 years old so I’m not sure if that’s too thin or not since I’ve heard some people’s males being in the upper 1,000’s and this point.
Temps are 87-93 hotspot 78-80 cool side. Humidity is around 50-60%.
Does he look too thin? I might schedule a vet appointment, but before I do I would like everyone else’s opinion

all i see is a perfectly plump BP. :) 15g is nothing to worry about.

EDIT: he has a very pretty pattern!

Nothing to worry about. 1 month and 15 grams is nothing.

Thanks! I get a lot of compliments! I’m just a worried dad cause his son is on a food strike! I just want to make sure he’s ok

15g at 1003g is still within normal variation - it's only 1.5%. Significant loss is generally more like 10%. 1.5% is more like "I have less water in me because I peed recently or I got less fluids lately since I didn't eat the rats" It's nothing to worry about.

he doesn't look thin at all and he's not a baby any more. if u were a breeder, he's pretty much considered a full adult male breeder at this point. yes, they can get bigger but will eat less and grow more slowly at this stage when hitting the "wall"

anyways he has a lovely shape.

He looks pretty huge to me. Way bigger than “thin.”
