    New lady ordered!
    Hi all,
I have put a down payment on a hoggie coming in from europe and she will be my first hognose! I have a few questions.
She is 20g and hatched in october and is feeding on ft pinkies every 5 days (I plan to up this). I should be getting a video of her feeding today. Hypo 66% het caramel/albino and they said "think frosted as well not 100% sure" which I should get confirmation on.

    1. I bought calcium with D3 since she won't have a light. How often should I dust?
    2. Does anyone have info on Frosteds? I can't find much info around or pictures
    3. What is a good way of lowering humidity? I am in Vancouver, Canada and the ambient humidity is quite high
    4. Is it safe to cover the sticky side of a uth with foil tape? I am finding mixed results on that but I'd like to reuse mine on bigger rubs as she grows.
    5. Any other tips?

Instead of attaching the UTH to the tub, you can try attaching it to the table surface the tub is on. This makes cleaning the tub easier and also reusing the UTH. It is fine to cover the underside with foil tape and this will help prevent it from damaging the table it is on. I attach mine with a couple pieces of tape to keep it still but that is it. I use the ultratherm heat pads (these don't have a sticky side) and they work great for this purpose.

Also, get some binder / bulldog clips to help secure the sides of the tub. Snakes are great escape artists and will be able to squeeze out between the lid and tub without the extra clips. I'd get 4 of the big binder clips and attach them on the sides.

Lastly, you may want to consider getting a couple small dark enclosed hides, like the smaller RBI black hides, as these may help the hoggie feel more secure than the tubes. You can still keep the tubes and she may enjoy crawling through them, but I'd give her some other options too.

Good luck with your hog, I hope she has a good feeding response for you. :)
