Hey [emoji112] my Het pied finally laid her eggs. I had to candle them. They were all over. Now being it was my first time doing it. I’m hoping I turned them the right way. Does anyone have a picture of what it is suppose to look like. What the heck am i looking for?

I'm sure it was unintended, probably submitted thread too soon, but you're likely not going to get the views from the folks you need without a more appropriate title.

"Turned them the right way"??? :confusd: You shouldn't be turning snake eggs, keep their orientation the same as when laid (found). Separate them VERY gently only
IF you know how to do it...otherwise, best to leave them together to incubate.

You might wait a few days to candle them...most get redder after a few days to a week when they're good eggs. (in a dark room using the close up beam of a
small flashlight, you should see a red glow as opposed to yellow, from the blood circulating inside...you might even see larger blood vessels with that membrane)

I think OP said that they found the eggs scattered, so it sounds like leaving them as-is could be dangerous for them how they were found.

OP, maybe try to do a search on YouTube? I'm pretty sure Brian Barczyk and some other breeders have posted videos with info on how to candle eggs and what to look for. I'm not an expert, but that will probably give you the quickest answers, especially with the super short thread title.

For sure, if the snake scattered the eggs around, no way to know how much they were rolled. I assume you took your best guess, good luck with them. :)
Just keep them still from now on. (don't turn them when you candle them...in fact, you don't need to pick them up at all to candle)
