Can you identify this frog?

i am not from NY nor familiar with frogs, but a quick Google and my novice eye think it's a Wood Frog. :)

Yeah, that is a wood frog. They can come in some interesting camouflage colors/patterns including bright green. I was finding them everywhere in my yard for a while-my chickens fixed that.

Maybe though I'm not sure I'm convinced. In all the pictures I see of woodfrogs, they all have a white stripe running along the upper lip which is absent in this frog. Not to mention the eye color is also different and the lack of that leaf shaped dark splotch around the eye (although that seems the least definitive bit of evidence since that seems to vary to some degree in the pictures).

I guess what the most important thing is, I'm wondering if it could live in a terrarium with poison darts since we have a friend who keeps those. Even if this frog is from this area I'd be inclined to say probably.

Maybe my friend can get us a better picture because the picture quality here isn't that great so it's hard to really say anything for certain anyways hahs

agreed, haha. i think i see the white stripe that you mention above in the photo, but due to the quality you can't really make it out.

again, tho, idk jack about frogs. :D

Can't ID it, but I know most DF people are against cohabbing different species. If this will get much bigger than a DF, it could eat the DFs. Also consider possible disease transfer to the DF or the tree frog.

I keep whites tree frogs and a couple pacmen.

It is not a wood frog, look at the toes, it is in the tree frog family.

Given it was found in a nursery I would guess it is a one or the other of the so-called "greenhouse frog", either Eleutherodactylus planirostris or Eleutherodactylus coqui. They are infamous for colonizing greenhouses and getting transported all around because they bury their eggs in the pots where they skip the tadpole stage and direct develop into baby frogs.
