How big of Ball Python should be kept in 6qt shoe box?
I watched a video on YouTube of someone claiming to keep his hactling ball pythons in a shoe box until 600-800 grams.

Is that really a good idea. Seems a little tight to me.

I kept mine in a 6qt tub until it was obvious he needed a little more 'legroom' to stretch out. That was when he started out at 75g then grew to 150g. I moved him to a 16qt tub and currently he is about 250g and still have enough space. I can't imagine fitting a 500-600g bp in such a small box.

Mine go into a 16qt when I get them as juveniles but with 2 hides and water bowl, they have not stressed over the space.
I move them to 41qt tubs at 350 to 400gr and once again, the hides and water bowl take up enough space that they still feed pretty well and almost always shed in 1 piece.
