Stuck shed in nose? Or something else?
When handling my bp Basil, after not handling for a week or two, I noticed a loud and pronounced wheeze. Having treated RIs in this animal before that was my original thought. But one of his nostrils looks a little plugged up - but I can’t tell if it’s some sort of discharge or a tiny piece of stuck shed. His mouth is pink with no bubbles, and he’s otherwise healthy, just making loud hissing breaths. He hasn’t eaten since January-ish, but he’s done that every winter since I’ve had him. Attached is the best photo I could get of the two nostrils. Thoughts? Book a vet visit?

Re: Stuck shed in nose? Or something else?
To me, it definitely looks like a piece of shed over one of the nostrils. I would suggest using a clean q-tip with warmish water or even clean hand with warm water to gently see if it will come off. Similar to the videos on youtube on helping to remove stuck eyecaps?

Just a suggestion before going to the vet
