    Ball python behavior?
Recently, I have noticed my male at 180g roaming crazy. He keeps trying to get out of the tub time to time for some time and goes back to sleep. He doesn’t seem to care if it is night or noon or whatever. Husbandry is perfect, literally. He refused meal this time but I was wondering if it has anything to do with female. When do males start to want to breed and go off feed or whatever the behavior is? Do those involve roaming alot? He is not even close to breeding size or age but could he still show those behaviors?
    Thank you

Its possible that husbandry isn't "literally perfect", what's your setup?

At 180 grams, he's not even close to breeding size. When you say your husbandry is perfect, what do you mean? What temps? What kind of setup?

Should’ve explained ofc lol. 15 qt Tub with holes, paper towel substrate, two identical hides, hot zone 88-90 cool 78-80 ambient 78-80. Humidity 55-65 depending on when water is replaced. My female right next to his tub, is doing perfect, eating every single time. Temp gun, digital thermometer, temp measured with 3different sources.

You sure you aren't feeding prey that's too small or something?

I know that he is not close to breeding size but what I mean is can he still have “thought” of wanting to breed with female next to him haha.

Most likely something just rubbed him the wrong way on feeding day, either with the rodent, or he didn't feel safe enough, or a flea farted on another continent. Who knows, LOL.

Now he is hungry..searching for food.

That is if the setup really is right on spot and double checked on that.

    ;)

Are his hides oversized for him? Is it possible he feels insecure in there ? Is his tub transparent? My male gets more active when he gets hungry.
