    New ARS-1039 Hatchling Rack!
I just put together my new ARS-1039 hatchling rack for my upcoming ball python babies. I took a video of the process of unpacking and putting the rack together:

    Enjoy!

Congrats on that awesome rack. What a great addition, and blends so well.

You’re pretty lucky that you had just the right amount of space for it to.

Great job job on the video too.

Now you just need to fill those tubs up!

Very nice. Also it's helpful you made a video so people know what to expect.

For breeders with a lot of snakes, those racks are the way to go. For Ball Pythons, those are just awesome.

However, I have to say, I'm not impressed with the fit of the tubs. I could tell it bothered you too. I like everything to be quality, neat and EFFICIENT. Those sticky tubs would drive me crazy.

I don't want them super loose, either, for sure, but some seemed to stick quite good. To the point of moving the rack (since its on wheels) when pushing them in or pulling out. To do it smoothly, you would almost need 2 hands.

When doing maintenance you want to be able to move everything quick and smooth. You often have another hand full with either cleaning stuff or a snake. Tubs should glide easy and smooth so you can do it one handed without jolting the rack or snake by having to push hard or use both hands.

Have you asked whether that is a common problem with that particular rack? The hatchling and / or hybrid one?

I know, I'm OCD, but for the price I would want it to be just right..

Zina, at the end of his video he explains that the tubs work well AFTER the complete building process.

guess I didn't pay as much attention, LOL.

However, as tight as everything is build I wonder what changed at the end to make them work better?? Esp. since each level is sort of its own built and shouldn't change after the unit is together.

But as long as it works, its all good ;)

I thought the same thing, I was disappointed when I first started building the rack but then at the end when it was all together they all slid really smooth with no catching. Maybe I just had to beat on it a lot putting the top levels on LOL. I actually put a small hatchling in an old ARS-70 series tub, I know that tub is way to big for a small baby king snake but it did get out between the top of the tub and the rack, the tub fit pretty loose in there. That won't happen with this rack, the tolerances are spot on, you probably can hardly get a piece of paper in that slot between the tub and the rack. Now the tubs slide in as smooth as glass.

Actually look at the last 45 seconds of the video, I added on a short clip after I was done to show how good the tubs slide at the end.
