If I disappear for a while....
Most likely the power is out. We have just started getting bad weather from the hurricane and the majority of our city is without power. I am really not looking forward to 3-4 days of nothing but rain....and no power is going to make it hell.

amg, Daniel is a very responsible, caring owner and man...he'll do his absolute best for those animals in his care as well as his wife and brother, I've absolutely no doubt of that.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you and yours Daniel.

Sorry, should have stated that Daniel already planned for this. See the Power Outage Planning thread for details. LOL
Re: If I disappear for a while....
I am back (for now...we are still having horrible weather).....6+hrs without power... jamie, the inverter idea was awesome and worked great...alot better than heat packs...I had a 50ft extention cord run to my truck on a 200W inverter to run the 4 tub rack....I would recommend this method to anyone that can spend the money on an inverter....
Temps were great the majority of the time (once we opened up all the window in the apt. and lowered the room temp a bit)...we could not find any box fans at stores around here so I was really worried about the temp getting too high.I also had to lower my thermostat because they are set just right for a 75-77F room temp......the room temperature was about 80F so the increase in ambient temp had the warm side at 95 cool side at 87...... so once the tstat was lowered my snake enclosures were at 82/90...now the power is on everything is just back to normal 83 cool/94 warm ... everyone is fine, lets just hope it stays this way :)
Re: If I disappear for a while....
Yeah you're okay! (the collective you) Glad the power's back on hope the weather will clear soon. Good to hear the inverter worked.
