    I am confused...we see a tongue..
Vet said 3 weeks ago her tongue was deformed and to short to come out of her mouth all the way. I did not ever look in her mouth..went off what the vet said and the fact that we never saw a tongue.

It's been showing more and more lately. Now it sticks out even more.

So Yes...there is a tongue in there, and yes I think it's useful..

It does not have normal forks though. It is forked, but one side is forked again... Or its split. So she has 3 forks.

    So odd...

She went from a short tongue that didn't come out of her mouth to a short tongue that does come out and is split in 3.

I feel bad getting my money back from the store as she really isn't disabled. She just has a wierd tongue.

Could it have been stuck? Like when a person is tongue tied?

And why did it take so long to show?
Even the vet couldn't see it well..and he even went digging down into that little hole where the tongue hides.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d1aac44318.jpg

I'll take weird tongue on a BP over no tongue!

Sounds like a) She will be fine and is doing great with you guys!

    B) You need a new vet!

Good luck and keep up the good work!

    as

Even the young man who came and looked at her said she had an odd tongue before we took her to the vet.

I'm thinking it was stuck somehow..

Either way she's doing great and we adore her.

My son was keeping her if he she had no tongue and was determined to make it work... Don't have to worry about that anymore!

Interstingly a respitory infection with excess mucus can sometimes prevent them from using their tongue.

Great news that she is using it however. :salute:

I don't think there are three forks to the tongue.

I think one of the forks in the picture is replicated due to the exposure speed of the camera. That is no fun though.
