The little snake that could.. DID!
She did it again! Ate on her own!

My son took her out and it seemed for a few min that she couldn't tell where food was.

Then we noticed her little tongue was barely sticking out and going in and out, so she's learned how to use it.

He followed her around a bit with it and just as he was getting ready to heat it up again BAM!

She hit it so hard it made us both jump. We weren't expecting that.

2 meals in a row on her own....I don't think we have anything to worry about anymore.

Now quick question... This last picture looks like she's almost choking. Do all snakes do that at the end? Stretch their necks out and look like their choking? She actually almost fell over!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0798353cd5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...409af5b51f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...10d467ca86.jpg

    Awesome! She's doing great!

Yeah, that's a snake thing - getting the last bit down and sticking up etc. All good!

I usually tell people to feed in the enclosure, but with her, whatever works!

Congrats and it sounds like she is really on the right track!

Yes he will try feeding in the enclosure next time. Right now it's easier outsidw because he has to follow her around while she moves to get the food juuust right in front of her face. Feeding in the enclosure right now would mean having to take stuff out to follow her face around. She'll start using that tongue more now and I'm sure it'll be easier to feed inside.

We have seen a little tongue stick part way out. It just looks like a little stick sticking barely past the end of her mouth.

I'm stoked to see she's eating, and yes that last pic is normal.

Just one question: why on earth is she being fed on a carpet floor in the middle of a room?
