Looks like that mouse is more clever than the one from Mouse Hunt! lol. I wonder if it's still alive! I think I might have rescued that mouse and kept it for a breeder or something. lol

They are lucky that mouse didn't turn around and bite the snake. That doesn't seem like responsible feeding to me. Even if it is amusing to watch that mouse literally bounce off the walls. For people considering feeding live, this is NOT the way to do it!!

I am not so certain it was a bad way of feeding...they were watching like they are supposed to....it is kinda hard to control the movement of the rodent once you put it in the enclosure. I have had mice go swimming in the water bowl, climb under the newspaper, hide out in the extra hide, etc...but I was watching the entire time.... and my guys don't usually miss when they strike.....I was looking at the snake...looks like a garter to me which is not that big....maybe that was a hopper mouse they were feeding it??...they are really jumpy like that....but I have seen some adults do the same thing when I go to take them out the enclosure....but never during a feed...

the thing that i noticed about the video is that there are no hides....just a water bowl...

I just don't want people to look at that video and think hey let's put the rodent in the cage and just let it go. It looks like they emptied the tank of everything except the water bowl. Wasn't that mouse just a bit big for that garter too? I don't know. It just doesn't seem the safest way to feed live and with people coming to this site with little or no experience, I'd hate for them to see that video and think hey that'd be cool.

I think that's actually a Kingsnake. That mouse was really doing some acrobatics in his attempts to get away. I don't really see how the owner could do much of anything to keep the mouse from doing that, except maybe use the Pillowcase of Death. ;)
