possibly feed more?

    possibly feed more?
    so i have a female western hognose, shes 8 months old and only weighs 10g, ive fed her one pinky every 3 days and she hasnt gained ANY weight in the past two months which i got her at 10g. should i feed more? just dont think this is normal

    At first hognose have a very slow growth simply because what they eat is just a mass of water and fat (no, bone, no fur, little to no protein) and to add to that they defecate a lot, every 3 days is a pretty standard schedule for an hatchling that's what I feed mine.

    Give it time you really start seeing growth when they start eating fuzzies.

    Right now I can tell you that last years babies I currently have are from 12 to 18 grams so not much bigger than yours.

    Sure some will take it but some will not only way to tell is to try.

    alright, i might soon be in a complicated situation where thatll be the better situation, otherwise ill have to drive an hour every three days to feed her
