How long for humidity to settle down in tub?

Hey everyone,

So after switching to tubs, I'm now running into a bit of the opposite problem - too much humidity! I've put some more holes in the tubs to try to bring humidity levels down, but I don't want to add so many where the tubs become too dry.

I know a lot of factors go into humidity levels, but in general, how long should I give the tubs for the humidity level to settle before adding more holes?

Humidity was in low 90s before I added more holes. Tubs have fresh ReptiBark with a very light misting so that it's barely damp. Our house is normally pretty dry, humidity in the high 20s/low 30s.

Do you have any fans around that you can use to move air?

it could take a bit of time based on your current weather.

I used fans fans when I went from glass to pvc and it helped a lot also make sure the substrate isn’t too wet. You may think it’s light but they absorb well and will spike the humidity.

The first go round I pulled a bunch of substrate and Asded dry

Thanks! We do run a fan at night, and I will try replacing existing substrate with dry. It's amazing how well the bins hold humidity!

Get that fan going it will help a ton!

it will drop 10-15 real quick. Just make sure it’s not on too high or just blasting on it. Make sure it occelates.

But def get in it quick and take out some substrate 90 is high for too long

Hey. I switched tubs and rooms a month ago. I had the same issue. I added a fan and it fixed the issue pretty quick.
