    Weight after one years growth??
When i rescued my BP the former owner told me that it was a year old and they were 90% sure that it was a male. Now i know how to check to see if it is a male or not but how can u realy tell. I know there little claws by there butt, but at what length is it a girl and what length is it a boy? And back to my main ques, how much should he weigh after a year, he weighs 1180 g's right now. Dose that sound right?

Both males and female have spurs. The only way to know the sex for sure is to have the bp probed by a qualified person. I have two bps that are a bit over a year...the male is 700 grams, the female is 1150 grams. That should help with a comparison :)

I have an 04 male that is just over 1200 grams. Have that guy (or girl if you are lucky) probed to find out..

all ball pythons eat and grow at different rates so it is almost impossible to judge sex by their weight. 1180 grams for a year old bp is definitely a good weight, so no worries there. the best way to tell sex would be to take your bp to a herp vet and get it probed.
