My niece touched her first snake, Cosmo
Sorry for the delay, I've just been lazy...
Anyway, I babysat my niece and nephew over the weekend and my niece touched her first snake!!! She had seen them before, but wasn't ready to touch one til this weekend. She even asked on her own to see a snake and picked "the littlest one". I asked if she wanted to touch him, expecting a "no" but she was actually excited. She's so darn cute!!!!

awe, when she flinched my heart melted!!! she did a great job (as did Cosmo)! that's really cool she asked on her own; my young cousin (almost 7) always asks to see Corny when she's over. my beautiful and expensive ball python collection? nah, she's not into them but she asks for Corny by name! hahaha.

    thanks for sharing. :)

my kids are too young they think I have boxes of plants and flowers.

My sister was over for the holiday and she gladly took and held thunder. I was surprised. But she’s 32 Lolol

your neice is a smart cookie too!!

She stays laser focused on that head!!

Now that is absolutely adorable! Cosmo was extremely tolerant and well behaved and your niece was extremely gentle. That had to be an awesome experience for her... and for you too being able to share it with her!

That’s so cool , I love to see kids enjoying different sorts of animals from young ages.

, in the summer months I always take a snake over in a tub to see my grandkids it’s only half hour away there 4& 2 they have always seen them at mine from birth but wasn’t till last year that my oldest Harriet started to want to touch them and now moans if I don’t take one over. Luckily my oldest daughter their mum loves them too

My grandson is 4 years old and he loves to hold my snakes. When another child comes over - he acts like he is the authority on how to hold them. He will say "don't make any fast sudden movements" and "stay calm and quiet" - its so cute to hear him repeat what I have always taught him when handling the snakes.

He is my future snake keeper in training.

He is spending the weekend with me this weekend and I may let him feed my corn snake. This will be his first time feeding a snake. The prey is f/t. This will be fun.

That is awesome! So happy she has began a journey to loving them.

I have a homeless family living in my house right now. Husband and wife and 4 kids!!! Crowded but great experience for us all. All of them started with fear of snakes. Over the past 3 months their understanding of them has grown as well as their love for them. Rainbow and Lucy are not handled when I am not home but Bob and Shiva are from time to time. Their daughter has grown to love them the most. At age 9 she has taken a huge interest. I work carefully with her to educate her on proper care and handling methods. The dad still will only hold the smaller ones and that doesn't happen often.

I plan on using them for education of others so getting them use to multiple people being around is good. I know Miss Snow is not good for this so she is only handled by me.

    Keep sharing the love!
