What Morph is this? Lesser het Green Ghost?
Hi guys so i picked up my first Ball Python a month ago and he has been doing fantastic. He just finished his first shed last night and it all came out in one healthy piece. After researching everyday, even as we speak i feel confident that i have been doing a great job in regards to husbandry. He eats ferociously and is really chill when handled, although he does have a bit of spunk to him for sure at times. Anyways he is 7 months old now and i bought him from a reputable breeder here in Canada, He is a Lesser ( His mother was a Lesser platty het green ghost and his dad was a Mojave.) Ive looked at lots of pictures of Lessers online but mine seems a but different. Could it be the green ghost? Did i just luck out and get a really nice looking Lesser? Let me know your thoughts, and if not i hope you guys like him! Having him as my first reptile has been a great experience and has opened me up to a world i never even really thought about before.

Congrats on your new friend! The lighting isnt the best but does look like a lesser to me. Remember some of that bold contrast will dull with age so youd need to compare to other lessers the same size.

As an extreme amateur in terms of BP morphs, I can only really say for sure that the picture given looks exactly like my own Lesser. I don't think it's got any green ghost in it, from what I can tell, at least, it looks like a full lesser.

Lesser... could have ghost but would need to see in natural lighting.

If it is Het for green ghost, you will never know unless you breed it to a visual green ghost.

Nice catch, I didn't notice that it only had a single parent with ghost and that the parent was only a het.

Some snakes just look really weird, unique for their morph. Even some normals can look so intense or unique, that they seem to be morphs of some sort. I once had a ghost morph that looked so strange, I swear he was more than a ghost. I could not find a single photo online of a ghost (hypo) that looked quite like his coloring. Yet, he was just a ghost, just a very unique one.

You have a unique lesser! It may or may not be het for green ghost, but it really doesn't matter.
