    Clutch #1 2018
The first clutch is out. The pairing was a 0.1 Pastel Mojave X 1.0 Leopard Pinstripe. She laid 9 eggs that all went to term. I only ended up with 2 single gene animals and no duplications. I'm very happy with the results other than I think I hit a four gene animal and it is rather "Meh" looking. Powerful but not terribly beautiful. This is why I tend to be in the camp of "Less is More" when it comes to creating beauty with ball pythons. Sometimes more genes just muddies the canvas. It's like paint. All of the colors are beautiful alone. However, when you mix them together you get brown. I haven't sexed anything but will once they shed.

Experts! Feel free to chime in on some of the Pinstripe combos as this is my first clutch with Pin. I am wise enough to know I may be wrong with some of my identifications. I've added side shots of three of the pin combos in case it helps and if you think Leopard may be present where I haven't called it.

Here are all of the animals in order of appearance.

Good looking clutch. Wish I had the wait if hatching eggs. I'm still waiting for them to drop lol.
Is the jigsaw 1.0 or 0.1

Yeah I agree on the less is more I like a nice two or three gene animal. Even a single gene over a five or six gene as they tend to muddy up.

Congratulations! I'm no expert but that's a beautiful baby balls you got there.

Especially that Leopard Pastel Pinstripe and that deep black on the LeoMojo. V nice contrast.

Quite surprised at the 4-gene combo, it's beautiful in its own right but lacking that 'omph' factor. Nevertheless, it's a classy golden look.
Totally agree in this case that LESS is MORE :D

    More clutches coming??

Thank you. I think the Leo Pastave is my favorite so far but we'll see after they shed.

Thanks. Hang in there, they'll come soon enough. I don't know the sex of the Jigsaw yet. I usually wait until after they shed.

Thank you. It's not that it's bad looking, but there isn't as much WOW factor as I had hoped for a 4 gene animal.

Thank you. Maybe after it sheds it will have a little more color. I have another clutch that should drop in the next 3 weeks or so. It's a Vanilla to Pied Ghost so the babies won't look exciting at all. They'll just look like Vanillas or Normals.

Thank you. it's amazing the number of combos that are possible with just 2 two gene animals.
