Please Explain to me

The system people use on thier profile signatures. I do not understand it.
Example:
0.1 Ball Python
1.1.2 Dogs
0.3 Cats
1.0 Turtle

I am trying to make sense out of the listing but can't. I think mine is pretty straight forward. No sarcasm intended, but can someone show me the error of my ways please?

1.0.0=1 Male
0.1.0=1 Female
0.0.1=1 Unknown sex

male.female.unknown (type of animal listed after) - Sometimes names in order after

It is just a breakdown on male/female/unknown

So let me see if I get this right.

0.0.1 BP - Salina
0.1 Dog - Timba
1.1 Cats - Harley and Maddy
0.0.1 Western Painted Turtle - Rocky
