Rescued Ball Python that is possibly sick
Hello!
I have a Ball Python that I am housing for a friend. Said friend wasn't taking care of him properly, so he's skinny.
I've only ever been interested in King Snakes (I have two of them currently) so I'm trying to convince him to let me rehome the python.
Regardless of that, I want to make sure I give him the best care that I can while I have him. He's around 3 feet long and skinny enough I can feel ribs. He's eating two adult small mice a week with me. He's had consistently runny poop but has been showing more solid poop the last couple of weeks.
Just now (and the main reason I'm posting) is that he just made the strangest noise, it sounded almost like he was vomiting and farting at the same time, I was worried he was choking. When I ran over to check, his entire vent area was distended and I think his rectum was out. There was a whole lot of poop, some runny and some more solid. Within a minute, everything was back to normal.
I'm thinking he's constipated and everything came at once? Am I feeding him too much and his systems not used to it?

That sounds like pooping to me. I know when I first saw my snek poop it was rather freaky looking. It makes quite a bit of noise too

you might have just caught him right after a poop. i literally just had this scare today: i heard weird squishy noises coming from my corn snake's enclosure and i got so scared, but uhhhh he was just pooping LOL.
EDIT: what is the weight of the snake?

Just weighed him. If my scale is right, he's 353 grams, about 13 ounces.
