    How to choose hide size
Looking at some Reptile Basics hides as it seems Lucy's hides have become too snug. Both the L and XL hides say they are good for adult balls. How do I choose?

Lucy is about 4 feet (eyeballed length) and 1.4 - 1.5 kg.

You probably want the Large to start, but, personally I would buy one of each and upgrade over time (he said with a garage full of excess reptile supplies).

Most of my older female BPs (7+) are too large for the XL. They work great for my older males though.

There should be a trading site for hides your snake has out grown and someone else needs it? I have small BPs and could use 6 medium hides at this point. Getting ready to order them tomorrow when off work. It is also cleaning day for my snakes.

I’m the same way!! I over buy like crazy because “I’m saving on shipping but then my plans change or whatever and now for instance I have like 3 spare heat mats ... SMH

But here I agree. Your healthy happy snake will grow and grow why not get it now and have it

Well, I'll happily part with her old hides when we receive the new ones.

let your BP coil or ball up on some graph paper, count the squares/figure out the area it takes up and see which hides can accommodate that area. or u can use regular paper, but i requires taking more measures and more math. ;)
