Do you mist or fog for humidity?
I had part of my fogging system die yesterday and was looking at a larger system that can fog/ mist multiple cages if needed. Any suggestions on systems that work on multiple cages. Want the best bang for my buck but also reliability.

If youre looking to spend money then I would just upgrade from tanks so its not a constant battle to keep humidity in check and have less things that have electricity expenses and the snake can get into in the enclosure. Stacked melamine/pvc enclosures look more professional imo and you can have a few running off the same Herpstat to simplify everything compared to if you just have tanks spread out on different stands.

O ok. During this last winter was a huge issue for me. Slowly I am migrating to PVC cages.

I use a humidifier for my skink's tank. It is listed as best seller in Amazon, I don't recall the name, people use it for plants, reptiles, etc. I think I paid $25 or $50 for it. It has been working good for me but I only use it in 1 tank. I don't know if you can make tubes to connect it and make the fog pass to several tanks at the same time. I agree that glass tanks are a pain to keep humidity in.

Another option is to make your own humid hides. I am currently using one for my baby CP while he is shed. Even when he is not in it, it raises the humidity in the tub overall by a little.

So your humidity issue is in a pvc enclosure? My house gets pretty dry during the winter but my pvc enclosures have never required a fogger. I just have a big water bowl in my 6' and even with paper substrate it stays around 60%.

I asked this question on the GTP forums and the general response i got from keepers and breeders was 'save your money and just get a hand pump mister. You shouldnt need to mist so much that it warrants an auto mister unless your cage is set up wrong. You want relative humidity, not a soaking wet cage.' Plus most mister dont last long. Although if you do want one, i was advised to get a Mist King system.

I have a room humidifier. Misting seems like a good way to annoy your animals and it doesn't keep humidity steady which is what you need.
